1)  Q Why a Foundation? Why should I give?
A
The Bonner Springs – Edwardsville Education Foundation helps provide a level of excellence for our schools and our students that our patrons, parents and community have come to expect. Unfortunately, school districts alone cannot fund the additional financial support that schools and students require. The Foundation provides a means for our community to become involved in public education and to make a difference in our schools and the lives of our students. Funds raised in our two communities will support innovative programs and provide and enrich educational opportunities. Your contribution will ensure the success of our most precious resource (our children) today and in the future.
2)  Q How is the Foundation funded?

Programs of the Foundation are funded by corporate and individual donors as well as interest earned on investments.
3)  Q Is the Foundation a part of the Bonner Springs – Edwardsville School District?
A
The Bonner Springs – Edwardsville Education Foundation is a separate 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization governed by its own Board of Directors. Members of the Board represent a cross section of the two communities. While the Foundation is a separate organization, its sole purpose is to support the educational mission and the students of the Bonner Springs – Edwardsville School District.
4)  Q Where does the money go?
A
Since the inception of the Foundation in 1999, thousands of dollars have been distributed to support innovative educational programs through classroom grants and adopt-a-project programs as well as to recognize academic excellence through the distribution of scholarships. Each of these programs has greatly benefited our schools, our students and our community.
5)  Q Do other school districts have foundations?
A
Yes, school districts throughout the country have established foundations to support excellence in education.
6)  Q Is my donation tax – deductible?
A
Yes. The Bonner Springs – Edwardsville Education Foundation is incorporated as a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. A receipt for any contribution will be mailed to the donor.
7)  Q Why Give? How does my money help?
A

Through the Bonner Springs - Edwardsville Education Foundation, funds are donated by the greater community provide for a variety of educational opportunities designed to foster innovation in teaching, and support programs that further support educational growth of the students in our district.
