This yr., during Crew and Community Meetings we will be focusing on helping students become leaders at home, at school and in our community.  We will be using the book, "The 7 Habits of a Highly Effective Teenager.  Check out the 7 Habits and the different children's literature books (in blue)we will be using to help teach the habits in a kid friendly way.

Habit 4 Think Win-Win:  I wanted everyone to be a success. It made me happy to see other people happy.  The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister

 Habit 5 Seek first to understand, then to be understood: I listened to other people’s ideas and feelings.  The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown

Habit 6 Synergize: I valued other people’s strengths and learned from them. I got along well with others, even people who are different from me.  Swimmy by Leo Lionni

 

Habit 7Sharpen the Saw:  I took care of my body by eating right, exercising, and getting sleep.  The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats
