Advice for the Spring Semester Students

Allen Maness

  • Try the food- all of it
  • Expect the criminals to look at you through the glass
  • Ask a lot of things that you'd like to know, the people have a lot to say.

  • Wear clothing you can walk in comfertabley

    dont tap on any of the glass

    try the food

    ask questions

    dont be afraid of the fact that your at a prision

    Be respectful

    Have some fun

    Get involved if the officers ask if you want too

1. Eat a big breakfast.
2. dont take any electronics or pencils ect.
3. wear plain clothing.
4. work on your gagging reflex. your gonna need it.
5. If teacher allows stop for tasty food, bring money.

  • When they tell you about the old jail, dont freak yourself out.
  • Be respectful
  • Listen quietly.
  • You are in a jail, so dont be surprised in what you see.
  • Do not take any valiable items in
  • Be happy to be there, they are taking the time out of their busy day to talk to you about what they do
  • Be observant
  • If you are walking through the hallway, and Inmates are being moved, be respectfull, they are normal people just like you.
  • Dont talk while the speakers are talking.
  • Ask questions!
  • Asked for Mr.Howe to be shocked.
  • If he says "No" Then egg him on.
  • If he still doesnt do it, keep doing it, he will do it eventually.
  • Ask to go to McDonalds afterward, You will want it
  • If he says no, keep asking :)
  • When walking throught the jail, dont look prisioners in the eye, and dont act like you are scared. They will purposely try to freak you out.
  • When going to the old jail, make sure you have a budy, the other officers will try to scare you.
  • Dont act intimidated by the inmates because they will just try to scare you if they see that you are scared.
  • Listen and take in everything all of the speakers have to say, even thought it may seem boring, what they say is important and it might be usefull when making disctructive decisions.

  • Go with an open mind when you go to the old jail part
  • Make sure you have a friend with you at all times so you dont get lost
  • In the actually jail holding part dont antagonize them
  • DONT EAT THE JAIL FOOD
  • DONT TAKE A BITE OUT OF THE LOAF
  • Take in everything they tell you
