What will I learn? Text: Working, Thomson/Southwestern 2007 In this elective course students will use a text and workbook along with digital video, internet resources and personal interviews to explore careers. Self-assessments and inventories allow students to match career choices to their personal interests, aptitudes and abilities, work values, work preferences and learning styles. They will learn about training options, financial aid, job market trends, entrepreneurial skills, and occupational decision making processes. At the end of the course students will synthesize all information to create a practical career action plan that they can begin immediately. Note: |
