Welcome to our center. Our little 6 room school is bustling each day with the sights and sounds of 68, 3 and 4 year old children playing and learning. The center provides breakfast and lunch each day as well as teaches them how to brush their teeth and general hygiene habits. The children participate in individual, large group and small group activities. We believe that children learn best at this age through play. Centers are set up so that each day they have a time to choose which area they want to discover that day. These provide a wonderful opportunity for them to learn to play and interact with all their classmates. We have a wonderful staff of caring and nuturing people who work hard each day to create activities for the students. Transportation is provided for every child if the parents need it. Our mission is not just to provide a developmentally appropriate and diverse learning experience for our students but to assist parents in their needs also. We have two family service advocates on our staff that work with our parents to develop an individual family service plan to determine how we can best meet their needs. The center is proud of the community partnerships we have established over the years that provide both volunteers as well as assist in providing funding for some of our projects. This year approximately $10,000 was donated by both organizations and individuals to provide the children and familes with a wonderful holiday season. Books have been purchased and donated by the Rotary Club and the Kiwanis Club as well as hats and gloves by Alpha Delta Kappa (retired teachers sorority) for several years. We are very appreciative of all the donations throughout the year that are provided for our children. Feel free to come see our little center in action - we love visitors!!! Sincerely, Jeri Cochran, Director |
