USD 204 is looking for talented individuals who believe that all students can learn!

You need to complete the External Application:

  • If you currently do not work for USD 204
  • If you are currently a substitute for USD 204
  • If you are currently employed as a classifed staff member of USD 204 and are now applying for a position that requires a teaching license

If you complete the internal form instead of the external form, we will not have the necessary information to complete the screening of your application.

 

Important Information for All Applicants - Certified and Classified

  • We do not accept paper copies in the application process. You will need to scan and attach everything to your electronic application.
  • Your application must have all sections completed
  • Transcripts and letters of recommendation must be scanned and uploaded to your application
  • You must submit for your application to be considered complete. 
  • An incomplete application will not be screened for consideration for an interview. 
  • It is important that you keep your application current.

  • Our principals spend their days devoted to student instruction.  For this reason please refrain from contacting the principal.   The District Office will manage your application and can provide information regarding the status of your application and information about available positions. 
  • Successful job candidates will be contacted for interviews.  Not all applicants will receive an interview.  

  • All applications that are complete, have all necessary attachments and are submitted will be screened.

 

Applications for Certified (Licensed Professional Positions)

In addition to submitting your application on line you must submit the following electronically through the application:

-Transcripts

  • Submit all college transcripts.
  • If you are in the process of completing your degree, you should submit your most recent transcript. This must be done by scanning and attaching your transcript electronically to your application.  This does not have to be an official transcript.
  • If you are hired, you will provide an official transcript at that time.

 

-Letters of Recommendation/References

  • Your references may be contacted by e-mail to complete a reference survey.
  • Please be prepared to furnish current e-mail addresses for your references.
  • The majority of references provided should be professional, not personal--friends or family

 

-Kansas Teacher License ID Number 

    • We cannot offer a position to a candidate who does not have a valid Kansas License appropriate for the position, when the school year begins.  
    • If you do not currently have a valid Kansas license for the position you are applying for, log in and update your application when you have received your Teacher License ID from Kansas. You will be issued a Teacher ID after KSDE has received your application for licensure. 
    • If you are a first year teacher, we will contact your university to ensure you are eligible to receive your license upon graduation.  As soon as you receive your Teacher License ID, log in and update your application.
    • It is expected that you will contact KSDE and or your university licensure officer regarding the requirements for you to receive the appropriate Kansas licensure for the position.  http://www.ksde.org/Default.aspx?tabid=1648
