January is School Board Recognition Month, a great opportunity to say thank you to the USD 204 Board of Education who are committed to the success of every student in our community. Our board of education includes Jennifer McConico (President), Angie Thomas (Vice President), Kim Beets, Dave Pierce, Ashley Razak, Chris Russell, and Jeff Tinberg. These seven community leaders volunteer hundreds of hours attending meetings, reading reports and discussing plans and programs to support educational achievement. Thank you BOE!

Sweet moments of learning! Our McDaniel Preschool students explored lessons and fun activities with the help of gingerbread men and enjoyed some yummy treats along the way.




🎶🎄 Yesterday, the Delaware Ridge Elementary 4th and 5th Grade Choir brought holiday cheer to Crown Center in Kansas City! 🎤✨ They dazzled shoppers and parents alike with their festive performance, showcasing their talent and spreading the joy of the season.


📚✨ Over the past month, Clark Middle School students have been part of the "Reading Buddies" program, meeting twice a week to practice reading fluency and expression. The program wrapped up with a heartwarming trip to McDaniel Preschool, where they shared their love of books and stories with our youngest learners.

Before heading off for break, our students showed the true spirit of giving! 🧡 McDanield Preschoolers delivered over 240 food items to Vaughn-Trent Community Services, and students across the district came together to prepare Thanksgiving meal kits for Feed His Lambs. We’re so proud of their generosity. THANK YOU to our staff and families for supporting the various food drives during the holiday season, helping us make a big impact in our community!






The Bonner Springs Elementary Girls on the Run team wrapped up their season by completing an incredible 5K! 🏃♀️💪 Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a nonprofit organization that inspires and empowers young girls through a unique program combining physical activity with lessons focused on building confidence, fostering friendships, and promoting positive decision-making 💖 Way to go, team! 🎉
