Sweet moments of learning! Our McDaniel Preschool students explored lessons and fun activities with the help of gingerbread men and enjoyed some yummy treats along the way.



🎶🎄 Yesterday, the Delaware Ridge Elementary 4th and 5th Grade Choir brought holiday cheer to Crown Center in Kansas City! 🎤✨ They dazzled shoppers and parents alike with their festive performance, showcasing their talent and spreading the joy of the season.

📚✨ Over the past month, Clark Middle School students have been part of the "Reading Buddies" program, meeting twice a week to practice reading fluency and expression. The program wrapped up with a heartwarming trip to McDaniel Preschool, where they shared their love of books and stories with our youngest learners.

Before heading off for break, our students showed the true spirit of giving! 🧡 McDanield Preschoolers delivered over 240 food items to Vaughn-Trent Community Services, and students across the district came together to prepare Thanksgiving meal kits for Feed His Lambs. We’re so proud of their generosity. THANK YOU to our staff and families for supporting the various food drives during the holiday season, helping us make a big impact in our community!





The Bonner Springs Elementary Girls on the Run team wrapped up their season by completing an incredible 5K! 🏃♀️💪 Girls on the Run (GOTR) is a nonprofit organization that inspires and empowers young girls through a unique program combining physical activity with lessons focused on building confidence, fostering friendships, and promoting positive decision-making 💖 Way to go, team! 🎉





🎨✨ The Clark Middle School Art Club has been busy bringing holiday cheer to our community with stunning window paintings! These creative displays are part of the Candy Cane Lane Storefront Window Contest hosted by Bonner Springs Parks and Rec. The winner will be announced at the Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 7th.

🎭✨ Students from all of our preschool programs had a magical morning previewing Once Upon a Mattress at Bonner Springs High School! They loved meeting the cast and getting a sneak peek of this hilarious twist on the classic Princess and the Pea. Don't miss out on the fun—opening night is TONIGHT at 7 PM in the BSHS Auditorium! Third graders at Edwardsville Elementary recently had the opportunity to visit Kauffman Stadium! They explored reading, science, and math through fun, themed activities and even got a behind-the-scenes stadium tour. 📚⚾️



🎖️ Today, Bonner Springs High School proudly honored our veterans with a special breakfast and assembly, hosted by the BSHS Diversity Ambassadors. We were honored to have Lt. Colonel Tysen Pina as our guest speaker, celebrating those who have served in the military and recognizing the educators making a difference in our schools. During the event, we were proud to recognize staff members who are veterans from across our district, along with parents and community members who served, joining us for this meaningful celebration. Special thanks to the Leavenworth High School Cavalry Angels and Pioneer Guard for their spectacular performance that added to the day's memorable celebrations! 🇺🇸 This was truly a special day for our students and staff.
🪨🍬 6th grade science took a sweet trip through the rock cycle with Airheads in "Airhead Valley"! Starting as igneous rocks, students ripped up their Airheads to create "sediment," compacted and cemented it into sedimentary rocks, then added heat to transform them into metamorphic rocks! Hands-on (and tasty) science at its best! 🔥

As Veterans Day approaches, we want to honor and thank those who have served our country. On November 7th, the Bonner Springs High School Diversity Ambassadors will be hosting a special Veterans Day Breakfast for all family members who are veterans. Today was Apply Kansas Day at Bonner Springs High School! 🎓 Our seniors took steps toward their futures by submitting college applications, while underclassmen explored dual-credit opportunities through KCKCC. It was a great day to support our students in achieving their goals and planning for success!





🔍 This week in 8th grade ELA, our students turned into detectives! They completed a crime scene inferencing activity, analyzing evidence across 7 stations to piece together the story of a crime. This hands-on experience ties perfectly into our suspenseful short story unit, building those critical thinking and narrative skills. 🕵️♂️📚




🍏✨ Our Head Start students had an amazing day at Cider Hill Apple Orchard! They made apple cider, went on a fun scavenger hunt, decorated bags, and enjoyed a hayride to pick apples! 🍂🍎 Now they're turning their harvest into delicious apple butter!







Bonner Springs Elementary kindergarten students had a blast collecting leaves at recess and learning all about the beauty of Fall 🍁After a nature walk, the class made leaf rubbings and learned about why leaves change colors this season!
Clark Middle School wrapped up the first quarter with the annual Tomahawk Trot fun run! Huge thanks to our community sponsors, parent supporters, and the amazing cheer squads from McDanield Preschool and Bonner Springs Elementary. It's always a fantastic event and a great way to celebrate!
